El Cunado is a family owned Mexican restaurant run by husband and wife Rodrigo Alvarez and Blanca Verde. We have been serving delicious food to the people of Arkansas for generations, and love nothing more than seeing our customers come to visit us over the years with their own growing families. We pride ourselves on providing an authentic Mexican experience, through our fusion menu of tex-mex and traditional dishes.

At El Cunado we’re proud to offer award winning food to our customers. We have recently been awarded; Best menudo in Northwest Arkansas and Best Salsa in Northwest Arkansas. Our goal is to provide delicious Mexican food, that is based on the traditional and authentic recipes we all know and love.

From our humble beginnings, El Cunado has now grown into two popular Mexican Restaurants. At each location you’ll find the same delicious menu, brought to you by our friendly (and talented) chefs and serving staff.

Although we are based in Springdale and Rogers, we also serve the surrounding areas of Bentonville, Bella Vista, Lowell, and Fayetteville.

Rodrigo Alvarez

El Cunado Owner

With over 30 years of experience working in restaurants, Rodrigo has a passion for sharing good and authentic food with his customers. Having worked in his family’s taco restaurant back in Mexico, it was only natural that he open up his own Mexican restaurant in the US.

Blanca Verde

El Cunado Owner

Blanca met her husband Rodrigo in Mexico in 1988, when she was working in his family run taco restaurant. Their mutual love of food saw them open up their own taco truck when they moved to America, which grew into the El Cunado you know and love today.

Our staff been working in restaurants as for a number of years. They have a personal love for Mexican food, and enjoy taking traditional Mexican recipes and adding their own modern twist to them – which can be seen in a number of dishes on the El Cunado menu.
